Station Eleven
Author - Emily St. John Mandel
Ever since the pandemic hit the world in Nov 2019, first China and then rest of the world, I have been reading the end of world pandemic books a lot. This is my eleventh and by far the best so far.
I am not the kind of reader who reads a book in one go but Station Eleven is so melancholic yet compelling that I didn't want to put the book down and read it in one straight massive reading session over the weekend. I loved every bit of it; the begging of the collapse, the flashbacks to the past and the scary present where the troupe travels through the wastelands.
Notwithstanding the fact that I am a fan of the end of world genre, Station Eleven was simply amazing. The authors style of narration about the collapse of our civilization and the world post collapse is simply surreal and kept me hooked to the story till the end. Would highly recommend this book.
